Our Patio is getting ready!

It's been so long, since I wrote. The cold weather and the slow weeks made me a little blue. lol.
But soon as the sun came out and it got warmer, I got the power to do something with the Patio....... Yes the furniture is there and I got today the umbrellas too. Now we need the warmth and the sunshine and we will be set, NOT Yet though: FLOWERS and GARDEN, that is still missing. I am waiting until all the frost is gone.
We are all so excited about the Spring and Summer Season, we can't wait much longer..... lol.

It's slow this month!

How much colder will it get??? It's so slow for this month of February!! At least I am getting out there to my customers and can have a nice chat with them. lol. I met this week the nicest people ever. The ones they come, do enjoy my food so much, that's why I like doing what I am doing. I wanna please everyone of my customers....

One thing I have to explain though, when the crepe is a little cold, that's because its freshly made on the Crepemaker and it goes out instantly on the plate. WE DON'T USE MICROWAVES TO HEAT UP OUR FOOD, like in a lot of Restaurants you have the Crepes made ahead, stapled up a foot high, and taken of that pile and filled and put inside the Microwave oven to heat them up!!! That's why theirs is served much hotter than mine are! I hope that explained some of the questions about my crepes. I tried to keep the plates hot, but then you have the problem the crepes sticking to the plates ..... The importance about my food is, it's fresh, homemade, organic and no preserves or CORN SYRUP.

Yesterday my Walk in Freezer gave up!! It's a old Walk in Freezer.... So thank God for the Cold February Month, I am using the Outside as a Freezer (like in the Old Days, in the Mountains). Today I am getting a new one, but a small one, since I don't use it anyway so much. If I can afford an Ice maker, that will have to happen in Spring ( I hope).

Interviews!

Ok, I posted the job on Craigs List and got a nice response! Had already interviews and I have to chose my cook soon! It's hard though, every one of them has some good qualifications, now what??
I have to take my time and think it over.......

I made the Valentines Menu for the 14th of February. Yes, I know it's a Monday, BUT we are OPEN for Dinner that DAY. lol. It should be a memorable Evening at my Place!
I will be posting the Menu in a while.

I am Sick :(

Got home last night and lost my voice! Started not to feel good and woke up this morning sick!!! Everything hurt! I must gotten the Flu or something. I slept the whole day and thank God tomorrow is Monday, I can still relax and take care of this. I didn't go to the Restaurant today and found out there were some people coming for Breakfast. I am sooooo SORRY, I didn't' think even people getting out in this cold and with the Bears GAME?? Even if I wanted to come and do Breakfast for you All, I couldn't. I love doing the Sundays Breakfasts....
Sorry about this inconvenience to ALL. I need to find an other Chef or Cook!!

Our RIBBON CUTTING is coming up!!

It's coming so fast.......... The Ribbon Cutting is on Wednesday the 19th of January!! At 5:00pm in our Restaurant.....
I am so nervous, after all when I talked at the City Hall!!!!!! And then, they are showing it on TV, great! My Stage Fright was so bad, I felt sick of my stomach and thought I will melt into the floor, how hot I got.
I love doing this, but I .... What do I have to do next??

I hope you all come and see Us for this Event! (and maybe, me pass out!) LOL.

Today, I will try to take it easy!

Since my mother is leaving tomorrow, I will try to relax a little with her. Thank you Mom for ALLLLLLL your HELP in our Restaurant!!!! Mondays, we have to stay closed, that is the only Day I can get some things done around My house and can spent some time with my Family. Even, if we work together on the Weekends in the Restaurant, it's not the SAME!
I love you ALL! After reading the Tragedy, what happened in Tucson, makes you realize how precious your kids and Family is!!! AGAIN. People, never forget to say I love you to your LOVED ONES! Never know when you see them again.

Today Three Kings Day!!

I don't believe it's already Three Kings Day today!! The 6th of January. It's time to take all the christmas decoration down. In Switzerland, we ate for Breakfast a round sweet bread, made with 9 buns, it was a circle, looked like a crown. In one of these buns was a little plastic King hidden. And it came with a big golden paper crown. If you bit in one of the buns (sweet breads) and you bit in the little King, you could wear the Crown for the whole day and be the King. And everyone in your Family had to do what you ordered.
I miss these days!! LOL.
